Ex-Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has appealed to Nigerians to display utter sacrifice in their dealings with one another in the spirit of the celebration of Sallah.

The former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris dropped this in a message to mark this year, 2022 Eid -el Kabir.

He said the essence of the celebration of Eid- el -Kabir sallah was the hallmark of sacrifices both from Prophet Ibrahim and his son , Prophet Ishmael.

He said the point of convergence reached by father and son in quest to resolve divine obligation symbolises the commemoration of the celebration of Eid el Kabir.

Jakadan Sokoto urged Nigerians irrespective of creed , religion and extraction to demonstrate a deep understanding of the need to sacrifice at every point of our life, so as to maintain a virile and egalitarian society.

“The essence of the message learnt from Eid- el- Kabir celebration was leaders and followers are expected to reach a concensus, so as to agree on a point of sacrifice for the betterment of Nigeria.”

He congratulated both Moslems and non Moslems on this year’s occasion, wishing them many more of this auspicious occasion.
