The Kogi state chairman of the Nigeria Union Of Teachers ‘NUT’, Comrade Joel Salifu, has congratulated the State Executive Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, members of his new direction team, Muslim worshippers, and the entire people for marking this year’s eid -el- Kabir-1443HA celebration.

Comrade Joel Salifu in a Sallah felicitation message which was made available to media organizations in Lokoja the state capital on Sunday also felicitated with the state deputy Governor, chief Edward Onoja, the governor’s chief of Staff, Muhammed Jamiu Asuku, the state Accountant General, Jibrin Momoh.
Others include the Kogi state commissioner of education, science, and technology, Mr. Wemi Jones, the state SUBEB Chairman, Comrade Ndalayi Abdullahi, and the entire Muslim teachers for their celebration of Eid El Kabir.
”It’s a moment of spiritual and regeneration for the nation and its citizens which will liberate it from the shackle or web of widespread insecurity, rising inflation, mass poverty, underdevelopment, and plethora and other evils that have emasculated us as a nation. Shifu further quipped.
Comrade Joel Salifu stressed that it is equally the season to cultivate the attitude of good neighborliness, and mutual co-existence with other multi-ethnic and multi-religious groups as peaceful living remains the core ingredient to fast-track growth and development.
“It is not a season of mere merry-making and jamboree but a time of sobber reflection on the state of affairs of our land that has been ambushed by insecurity leading to the untimely death of innocent citizens as well as wanton destruction of hard-earned properties, mass poverty, rising inflation, economic retardation, corruption, and underdevelopment.
”It is a moment for all of us regardless of faith or ethnicity to come together to pray for our nation-We all remain constant in our efforts to foster unity across lines because united our society remain stronger, the better we strive as Citizens ” he stressed.
While wishing Muslim brothers and sisters and non-Muslims alike a happy Sallah celebration, Salifu however cautioned against indulging in satanic practices capable of causing unpleasant implications on their individuals, families, communities, and states reputations.
