2023 elections: YPP enjoying acceptability of Abia people for the enthronement of responsive leadership, representation — Nwachukwu

Eminent business mogul and a chieftain of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Abia State, Sir Innocent Nwachukwu, has stated that the party has gained grounds and has formidable structures across the seventeen local government areas of Abia to win the forthcoming general election in 2023, and be able to provide the basic dividends of democracy to every doorstep of the populaces from all strata of the country and state.

Nwachukwu, who also doubled as the State House of Assembly Standard-bearer of YPP, for the Umuahia east constituency seat of Abia State in the coming elections, spoke at his Umuahia residence in Umuohu-Okpula Ndume Ibeku in Umuahia north local government area of the state, on Sunday.

Continuing, Nwachukwu, while speaking during the welcomed visit by the Abia YPP Deputy Governorship flagbearer, Anyaso, maintained that the current acceptability and popularity being enjoyed by the party among the generality of the Abia electorates are attributable to, the outstanding and credible qualities of all candidates, fielded by the party leadership for the forthcoming elections in the state, saying that YPP is poised and ready for the coming general elections, which is tilted at enthroning the needed effective leadership at all levels in Abia, as he assured that the party will not disappoint the electorates on their mandates, and will only pursue policies and programs that would foster and enhance human, economic and infrastructural growths and development in the state and country as a whole if the party is given the chance to emerge victorious in the 2023 elections, and form a new government in Abia state.

He further pointed out that YPP in the state, boosts men and women with the requisite capacity, ability, competence, and expertise, to bring in the necessary democratic dividends on the steps of the Abia people, guarantees Infrastructural growth, and as well as, foster economic rejuvenation, in addressing the core and major yearnings of the electorates and make lives easier for them.

Mr. Nwachukwu also used the medium to applaud the governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party, Chief Enyinnaya Nwafor, and his running mate, Chima Anyaso, for their genuine courage, zeal, and commitment to enhancing the people’s welfare, and growth in every sector of the Abia economy, and further confided that the duo has distinguished themselves in many different capacities and fields of human endeavors and livelihoods, as they stood tall and best among other contestants for the office of the Governor of Abia state.

The 2023 YPP House of Assembly candidate for Umuahia east state constituency seat, also expressed optimism and implicit confidence in party’s governorship flag bearer and the running mate, of securing a win across the 184 electoral wards of the seventeen local government areas in Abia state, reiterating that the party, generality of Abia electorates and lovers of democracy will resist any attempt by undemocratic forces to truncate their positive efforts towards ensuring the interests of the masses and democracy are protected and deepened, to engender the implementation of impactful policies, and the execution of people and development-oriented amenities in every sections of Abia state, advising the Abia populaces to shun political moneybags who had failed to come up with a well-defined templates or blueprints to rewrite the narrative of governance in the state, and ensure its facelifts, ranging from, a stable security architecture, durable roads, improved healthcare delivery and service, and economic reformation etc, now that the main elections draws nearer.

According to Nwachukwu who partly said, “there are no doubts at any quarter that the duo is altruistic personalities who represent the powerful vision for Abia state. They have made invaluable contributions to their various constituencies, providing social amenities and improving people’s lives in countless ways.

“I’m urging everyone to grid up for the rural rugged campaign ahead to fight to engender a change for genuine democracy as well as, to ensure the people’s confidence in political leadership.

“Let me use this great opportunity to congratulate Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor and Chief Chima Anyaso on their successful emergence as AbiaGovernorship flagbearer and Deputy Candidate of the Young Progressive Party, respectively during the recently-conducted gubernatorial primary elections held in Umuahia in Abia state on June 2022.

“I urge all party members across the boards to be of good conduct, and work for the good and success of the party in the forthcoming general election in 2023, for her address myriads of challenges impeding the progress, growth, and development of Abia state. They have come to serve, and to improve and uplift the Standard of livelihoods among people of the state”.

Asked further to shed more lights on the rationale behind his bid to represent Umuahia East Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly under the platform of Young Progressive Party come 2023, Innocent Nwachukwu, hinged his decision on the clarion calls by the majority of people, drawn from politics, private sector-driven business, academia, religious and traditional institutions, etc from the umuahia east state constituency, reassuring of his electoral promise, to bring in, effective and responsive leadership towards rewriting the narrative of governance in umuahia east state constituency, through the sponsoring of people-oriented bills, law-making and oversight functions, and interface with relevant ministries, Department and Agencies to ensure the constituency get her own fair shares in the government’s dispensation of developmental amenities and projects, towards deepening democracy, and guarantee the growths in every facets of the economy of the areas in Umuahia east state constituency of Abia state, if elected as member of the State House of Assembly come 2023 by the electorates.

The Abia stalwart who further described the Young Progressive Party as “the only alternative and recipe” for the people of umuahia east constituency to end myriads of fundamental problems thwarting the efforts of sincere minds to enthrone real government, shrouded on transparency, accountability, prudent management of the state’s resources, stable and functional security architecture, empowerment and development of the youths, men and women on skill acquisition training scheme, food sufficiency, and food security, functional healthcare services, and stable electricity power generation, to make lives better for the populaces in the state.

Nwachukwu, however, called on eligible citizens from Umuahia east state constituency, and indeed, who are above the year eighteen years(18), to visit various designated units or points for the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and get register and collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC), as the card remained the only weapon vested on the electorates to effect the desired changes in state constituencies and Abia at large, by using PVC to cast their votes for all candidates of the Young Progressive Party in the forthcoming 2023 main elections in Abia state.
