Before the dispensation of the GYB-led administration in Kogi State, political appointees and aspirants are only seen at the grassroots only when campaign draws nigh, but the reverse has been the case under Governor Yahaya Bello as his wife, Hajia Rashidat Bello visited Igbogo Community in Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Area of the State to supervise the Water Scheme project she started two years ago in the Area.

She came to Igbogo Community and the entire LG to check the water Scheme project she started sometimes ago. She has done tremendously well in a quest of uplifting the people of this Area. Her visit had shown that she has the people of the Area at heart and we are grateful to her”
He continued “in the past, the people of the Community treck for two or more kilometers before they can access stream water which is not even hygienic but today, the narratives have changed with the intervention of Her Excellency’s Water Scheme which has given birth to not less than 20 boreholes sunk in KKLG. We are very grateful and we pray that Almighty Allah will continue to take you to greater heights (amin)”
The Commissioner pointed out that the promise of Hajia Rashidat Bello at maintening the various boreholes was an added blessing to the people of the Community, and praised her for lavishing such motherly love on the people of the Area.
