Engr. Bashir Gegu shine at Unveiling of Face of Gbagyis as he receives hundreds of decampees

A frontline politician from Kogi local government area, Hon. Chief Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu has been commended for initiative several programs for indigenous people of Kogi local government area of the State.
Bashir Gegu who is a serving Commissioner in the State Ministry for solid mineral and Natural resources received the accolades when he hosted Gbagyis nation mainly youths in Gegu Beki area of Kogi local for their annual show ‘face of Gbagyis, on Saturday.
The Kogi local government political leader said he was overwhelmed and encouraged to show interest in their activities because they have shown capacity over the years especially for maintaining peaceful coexistence among others in the area.
Engr. Bashir Gegu said he will not relent in rendering support to any groups irrespective of religion and tribes that will work tirelessly for peace, progress, unity and overall development of Kogi LG, even as he said he will do everything humanly possible to protect their interest as long as they continued to support the present All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration In Kogi State and beyond borders.
While congratulating the organizers of the show the face of Gbagyis, the Commissioner appreciated them for putting machinery in place to sustained their rich cultural heritage.
According to the Kogi 2019 governorship aspirant, “Culture strengthen peace and togetherness and this would go along way in preserving your heritage.
Engr. Bashir Gegu who is of the Egbira nation maintained that culture is rare and true identity of people, urging the youth of Gbagyis to continued to respect their superiors in order to get their blessings.
“For the love APC has for your dialect in Kogi LG the present Executive Chairperson of the council, Hassana Jezhy Bako is of the Gbagyis nation. You must jettisoned any other support rather come out openly to reciprocate such gesture by supporting APC from units to National levels so that more of these will keep coming your way.
“Finally, you can’t boast of being a party man/woman without having your PVCs which will be the greatest asset in chosen the next set of leaders in this country and Kogi State in particular. To the glory of God, APC fielders best brains as it’s placeholders across Kogi State, so you must have your PVCs to be able to participate actively in a political process.” He asserted.
Global Times Nigeria correspondent reports that the Solid Mineral Commissioner accompanied by the members of the local government executive council praise the Organizers of the event for the corrage and efforts in promoting the Gbagyi culture, adding that culture is the only human identity.
Speaking earlier, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) face of Gbagyi, Comrade Zaki Yakubu said they never had so good as this having a great leader like Engr. Bashir Gegu in the dance as if he is of the Gbagyis.
He appreciated Engr. Bashir Gegu for his usual humility, show of love to anyone who crosses his part, describing his humane leadership as unequalled.
He assured the Commissioner of their 100 percent loyalty to ruling APC and Governor Yahaya Bello and promised never to compromised the confidence repose on them.

The APC chairman in the area, Hon. Abubakar Onah while receiving the decides assured then of equal treatment and promised to carried them along min the scheme of things.
High point of the event, the Commissioner presented APC flag to hundreds of decampees and presentation of items worth thousands of naira to winner the just concluded face of Gbagyis.
The commissioner was accompanied by the Executive Chairperson of Kogi LG, Hon. Hassana Jezhi Bako, Kogi LG APC Chairman, Hon Abunakar Onah, APC 2023 candidates, both LG and state appointees and host of supporters grace the occasion.
