Nasarawa state governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has ordered that the old Deputy Governor’s residence be converted to the office of the newly created Nasarawa State Bureau for Public Procurement (NSBPP).
Engineer Abdullahi Sule, disclosed this shortly after inspecting the abandoned old Deputy Governor’s residence located within the NADP Project Quarters, on Monday.
Engineer Sule inspected the facility in company of the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, as well as the Director General of the NSBPP, Dr. Dominic Bako, among other top government officials.
According to the Governor, his administration has no intention to abandon any government property, stressing that government will revive such properties, particularly a prime property that was the residence of the number two citizen of the state.
Engineer Sule disclosed further that government will find use for the property by converting it to host the office of the NSBPP.
“We will not abandon any government property, especially such a prime property. We will have to revive it and bring it back to life.
“We have a very special office that was recently created and this could be an excellent, secluded, quite and prime area that such an office can occupy,” the Governor stated.
Engineer Sule promised that in the next five or six weeks, the residence, which was last occupied by former deputy governor, Mr Damishi Barau Luka, during the past administration of Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura, will wear a new look..
