The Etsu of Wako chiefdom in Kwali area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Alhaji Abdullaziz Usman Ibrahim, has conferred a traditional title on the chairman of the council, Hon Danladi Chiya, and his wife, Mrs Hannatu Danladi Chiya as (Sarkin Yaki) and (Gimbiya) of Wako chiefdom respectively.
Alhaji Usman, announced this when he led members of his traditional council to congratulate the council chairman over his re – election victory during the last February 12, 2022 council election in the area.
He said the palace desire to conferred the title on the chairman was as a result of the chairman’s immense contribution he has rendered to Wako chiefdom and also ensuring a peaceful co-existence among his subjects across the entire chiefdom.
He also said that his conferment of traditional title on the wife of the council chairman, Mrs Hannatu Danladi Chiya, was borne out of her efforts towards supporting the less privileges, downtrodden especially the orphans amd widows across the council.
The monarch, however, said that since the assumption of the council chairman I’m office, Kwali area council has continued to witnessed rapid transformation especially in the infrastructure and humanitarian services to the entire good people of the council.
He, thefore, pledged his continuous support and prayers to the APC led administration of the council under the leadership of Hon Danladi Chiya in order to move the council to a greater heights.
Responding, the chairman of the council, Hon Danladi Chiya, said he was overwhelmed with the visit of the monarch and members of his traditional council, stressing that he will continue to work for peace and the well-being of the good people of Wako chiefdom and entire council.
He further appreciated the monarch for conferring him and his wife with traditional titles, even as he announced immediate approval of salary for the chief of Chida community under Wako chiefdom.
Our correspondent report that the vice chairman of the council, AY Yakubu was also conferred with a traditional title as (Talba) of Wako chiefdom by the traditional ruler.
