Ex-Assembly minority leader, Chibuzor Okogbuo tops authentic list of Statutory Delegates from Abia Ahead of APC National Convention

The immediate past Representatives of Bende South constituency at the 6th Abia State House of Assembly and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, (APC), Hon Chibuzor Solomon Okogbuo, has topped the authentic list of names of Statutory delegates from Abia ahead of the March 26th National Convention of the governing APC in Nigeria.
Recall earlier that Hon Chibuzor Okogbuo who represented Bende south state constituency at the Abia Assembly also formed the Sub-committee member list of the party for the forthcoming National Convention designated in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
However, the latest authentic list of names of Statutory delegates from Abia, for the convention was contained in a letter signed and addressed to the national Chairman, Caretaker Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), by the Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
The detailed letter was sighted by our correspondent on Tuesday in Abuja.
Others who formed the authentic list includes, Hon Chukwu Chijioke, current minority leader of the Assembly, former member who represented Umuahia south constituency, Hon Chijioke Nwachukwu and former minority leader, Hon Ikedi Ezekwesiri.
According to Senator Kalu in the letter which partly read, “the authentic list of the statutory delegates it to forestall a situation where there will be infiltration and importation of fictitious names and designations by some overzealous party men”.
In the same vein, the ex-lawmaker, Hon Chibuzor Okogbuo, has lauded the leaderships of the APC at all levels in the country for their unwavering committment to the growth and development of the party.
Okogbuo made the commendation in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday.
The renowned Business tycoon, expressed confidence that the governing party in Nigeria would continue to consolidate on its internal democracy mechanism, and tremendous gains recorded in the development of all sectors of the nation’s economy.
