The provision of social amenities that have a direct bearing on the lives of the people remains a veritable tool for good governance both at sub- National and National levels.

This position was agreed upon by former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris in Portharcourt on Wednesday during the commissioning of the Waterlines building renovated, remodeled, and furnished by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Nzenwo Wike.

The former Kogi Governor, who commended the government and people of Rivers State, says maintenance of iconic and legacies projects at all levels showed the seriousness and determination of any government to keep pace with modest development.

He urged governments at all levels to develop the template of continuity through constant rehabilitation and renovation as well as completion of ongoing projects, in line with the spirit of good leadership and followership.

“What the people of Rivers State are witnessing in the current administration had to do with leadership with the people’s welfare and well-being at heart.”

” Consequently, the need for cooperation between the government and the governed remained a veritable tool towards all-round continuous development in the state.”

“The people of Rivers State have found themselves lucky in this regard, but the need to protect this laudable government facility will be desirable.”

He congratulated the people of Rivers State in this regard while urging them to continue to cooperate with the state government in all areas.
