The immediate past Kogi Governor, Capt Idris Ichala Wada will be conferred with a honorary chieftaincy title by the Atta Igala, HRM Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa 11 as ‘Ubuja-Ata Igala’.
The event scheduled to hold on Thursday November 17 at Atta’s palace in Idah Kogi state.

A letter of notification to the former Kogi Governor maintained the the new title of ‘Ubuja-Ata Igala’ salutations shall be ‘Wali’.
Capt Idris Wada is been honored over his contributions to the socio-economic development of igala kingdom, Kogi and the country at large.
Wada in 2012 installed the late Atta Igala’, HRM , Idakwo Ameh Oboni 11 who died in 2020 .
He ensured that the process of ascension to the royal stool was gazetted and streamlined to reflect the interest of the four ruling houses in Igala kingdom.

The new Atta Igala’ who will be marking his one year of ascension to his ancestral throne from the ruling house of Opaluwa Oguche Akpa that ruled Igala kingdom in the last six decades, before returning to the royal stool last year.
The former Kogi Governors stride is been recognized by the kingdom that returned peaceful and seamless ascension to the paramount rulership of Igala kingdom.
