Ex-Kogi Governor Visits Maigari Palace, Says Late Monarch was a unifier.

A former Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has described the late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Kabir Mohammed Maikarfi 111 as a great unifier of our time while on earth.

He made this statement during a visit to the family of late monarch in Lokoja who died in September after a brief illness.

The former Kogi Governor used the opportunity to condole the traditional council in Lokoja and the entire people of Lokoja chiefdom, Kogi state at large, stating that death remained an inevitable end.

He recalled how the monarch contributed to his administration between 2003-2012, when he ruled the state, that led to the development politically, economically, socially and infrastructural upliftment.

“The late Maigari alwas had the development of his domain and Kogi state in its entirety at heart, saying Almighty God will reward him with his good deeds hereafter.”

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris urged the people of his domain, Kogi state to continue to pray for the family he left behind, stating that the loss was a great one, but God knows best.

Global Times Nigeria report that the former governor is said to be in the state ahead of the PDP slated inauguration of it’s 2023 electioneering coordinators that will be saddle coordination of the party activities.
