Dr. Mike Onolememen CON, the Adolor of Uromi and the PDP Senate Candidate for Edo Central Senatorial District, has sent a congratulatory message to fathers on the celebration of Father’s Day today.
In his personally signed message to Truthlive.net, the former Minister of Works said, “Fatherhood is a divine calling by the Almighty God. It requires commitment and support both by mothers and the society. With the economic situation in the country, it is not easy to meet up with the demands of the family without support. And it is on this basis that I want to admonish mothers, the government and the society to be part and percel of child upbringing to complement fathers who toil day and night to see that their families are cared for. The family, no doubt, is the first unit of the society, and it is how children are raised that is always the reflection of the society. So it is therefore a duty to see that fathers are assisted to provide and raise children properly so that we can have the type of society we desire.
“I am therefore using this medium to congratulate fathers on this day for their roles in fathering, caring and in the upbringing of their children from infancy to maturity. It is a task that is daunting and their efforts must be commended.”
