FCT Polls: Etsu Of Yaba Receives APC Candidate, Advises On Zoning Of Chairmanship Seat.

The Etsu of Yaba, Abaji Area Council, Abuja, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, has received the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship candidate for the February 12, 2022 Chairmanship election in the area, Hon Mohammed Angulu Loko and his entourage at his palace, in which he advised the party’s leaders on the need to design zoning chairmanship seat between people of Abaji town and the rural Areas.

Global Times Nigeria, report that the APC chairmanship candidate and party chairman as well as some party leaders and executives were at the monarch’s palace as part of the Chairmanship candidate ongoing ‘thank you’ tour to relevant stakeholders and traditional rulers to seek for their blessings.

Alhaji Adamu, who spoke when he received the APC chairmanship at his palace on Friday, said it was important if the party leaders and stakeholders will sit down to come up with a frame work on how to adopt zoning of the chairmanship position between the rural areas and Abaji town.

He said adopting zoning arrangements will reduce cost and also douse tension among the contestant especially supporters of chairmanship aspirants, which he observed that it LA will naturally killed marginalization among the rural area and Abaji town.

“And I believe if the party leaders and stakeholders can heed to my advise about this zoning of chairmanship seat between the rural areas and Abaji town, honestly, it will douse tension in every election in Abaji Area Council,” he said.

The monarch, while congratulating the APC chairmanship candidate for emerging as the party’s flag bearer, further urged him to caution his supporters against engaging in any violence, saying there was the need for the supporters to conduct themselves peaceful before, during and after the election.

The Abaji Area Council chapter Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Mohammed Haruna Yaba, told the monarch that they were at his palace to seek for his blessings ahead of the February 12, 2022 Council election in the area.

He noted that as a royal father, there was the need for the party to formally present it’s candidate to him to get his blessings before election, while assuring the monarch that the party will ensure its supporters conducted themselves peacefully, before, during and after election.

The APC chairman, commended the traditional ruler for coming up with the advise on adopting of zoning system of chairmanship seat between the rural areas and Abaji town, which he said was a good idea, even as he said relevant stakeholders and party leaders had to sit down to design a frame work on how to adopt the zoning system.
