The Kwali Area Council chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) South East Forum has endorsed the incumbent chairman of the council, Hon Danladi Chiya, for second term for the February 12, 2022 council election in the area.

Speaking at the endorsement ceremony in Kwali on Saturday, Kwali chapter chairman of the APC south east forum, Hon Kenneth Okechukwu Eze, said the forum decision to endorsed the incumbent chairman was not far fetched from his close relationship with the Igbo residents in the area, who are business people that so much value peace and security without which no business can blossom.

He said despite the astronomical security challenges in the contemporary Nigeria, the APC led administration under the leadership of the council chairman has ensured the entire council was highly admired in terms of security with low crime rate.

He said it was as a result of the council chairman’s giant stride that the forum within the last two years in office, which the earned the present APC led administration a second term in office so that he will consolidate on the good work he has been doing.

“And besides, no one has ever been lucky to receive this kind of massive endorsement and overwhelming support and reception like this magnitude from Ndigbo and their chiefs,” he said.

Also speaking, Mr Agu Okechukwu, who was the guest speaker, while delivering a paper titled “Importance and participation of Ndigbo in APC and Abuja Politics”
He said the importance of and participation of Ndigbo in APC and Abuja politics cannot be overemphasized.

“Today, Ndigbo but in FCT and Nigeria in general have moved away from regional political part to APC as a national party in Nigeria. So if you work with Ndigbo as a political leader you will rule the Abuja politics forever,” he said.

In his remarks, the council chairman, Hon. Danladi Chiya, represented by the vice chairman, Hon Zubairu Jibrin Yewuti, appreciated the south east APC forum for their support for his administration, having identified the modest works of the APC administration have done in Kwali area council, as a basis of their collective decisions.

He used the occasion to appealed to the south east APC forum to continue to maintain peace and promote togetherness, said the administration would leave no stone unturned to ensure all round peace and tranquility.

He urged the south east APC forum to continue to pray for the success of the administration, saying he remains resolute and believe vehemently in the efficacy of prayers.

Global Times Nigeria correspondent report that highlight of the event was the official breaking of cola nutĀ  by the state chairman of FCT APC, Elder Chika Nwobu as well as presentation of the forum’s banner to the council chairman.
