FCT: Senator Aduda visit train crash scene, condoles deceased family

The senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda representing the FCT on Thursday, condoled with the family of late train victim, Salamatu Suleiman Idowu in Kubwa, an Abuja suburb of the territory.

Aduda, who was accompanied by Senator Shehu Sani, commissioner for Public Complaints Commission (PCC) representing the FCT, Mr Ezekiel Dalhatu Musa and the house of representative member for AMAC /Bwari, federal constituency, Micah Jiba, ealier visited scene of the train accident.

Aduda, while at the family residence of the deceased, expressed shock and sadness over the unfortunate incident, while praying for the soul of the deceased to rest in peace.

He also urged members of the deceased family to continue to pray for the deceased for God to grant her an eternal rest, even as he prayed for God to give them the fortitude of bear the irreparable lost.

The senate minority leader, however, called on the relevant authorities to make provisions for barricade around the rail track.

Also speaking, the commissioner for Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Mr Ezeikel Dalhatu Musa, empahised the need for public awareness campaign in order to forestall future occurrence.

Responding on behalf of the deceased family, Mr Olaposi Yusuf, appreciated the Aduda for identifying with the family and members of the entire community at such a trying time.

“You have decided to come around and paid last respect that is due to the family of the deceased, And asuch, we are very glad for the condolence visit,” he said.

He commended the senator for taking his time to visit the accident scene, saying members of the deceased family and entire community are very glad.

It will be recalled that the deceased, Salamatu Suleiman Idowu, who was a staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Abuja, was crushed to death by a moving train last Thursday, morning after her car got stocked on the rail track while on her way to work.
