FCT Youth-Network leader, Area councils representatives inaugurated.

The newly elected executives of the FCT Youth Network led by its youth leader, Comrade Ibrahim Umar Makeri and the area council representatives have been swore-in with a call them to be good ambassadors of the FCT.

The FCT minister of state, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, represented by Hajiya Aisha Bayi, made the call at the inauguration ceremony of the FCT Youth Network leader and their area council representatives held at Art and culture center in Abuja, on Thursday.

She urged to go out there to be good ambassadors of themselves, while urging the newly inaugurated executives to make good use their offices with fear of God.

The minister, while congratulating the youth Network leaders, advised them not to allowed themselves to be used to engage in any form of social vices especially political thuggery at the peak of electioneering campaigns.

“Once you know who you are in the society, you will be relevant. And I once again urged you all to please use your good offices to the humanity and to God almighty,” she said.

In his accptance speech, the youth leader of the FCT Youth Network, Comrade Ibrahim Makeri, said he is overwhelmed for seeing that he is and other representatives will be piloting affairs of the FCT youth.

He said the establishing of the FCT Youth Network is a clear message to all the youth to wake up from their slumber, saying it is time for the youth to hold their leaders accountable.

“And as you are all aware, the FCT Youth Network comprised of representatives across 585 communities in the FCT as we shall ensure that we track every project that will be executed by our representative,” he said.

He, therefore, commended the FCT administration under the leadership of Muhammad Musa Bello and the state minister, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, for their support as well as the six area council chairmen for their support in ensuring the FCT Youth Network has come to stay in the territory.

He, however, assured that the youth across the 585 communities across the FCT were carried along, even as he assured youth Network will make good use of their offices to ensure that the youth stay away from any form of social vices especially drugs abuse.

Our correspondent report that among dignitaries that graced the inauguration ceremony included, former Ambassador Dr Habiss Ubgada, APC chieftain, Alhaji Tanko Ishaku Yamawo, representative of the senate minority leader Senator Philip Aduda and among top government officials as well as youth/women groups in the FCT.
