Since creation of Kogi State on 27th August, the people of Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency has always been on top to play the finishing game, the of love and unity of purpose exemplified by the two Local Government Areas led to massive transformation by successive administrations.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, leadership drawn from Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency converged at Koton-Karfe, the administrative headquarters of the council to reaffirmed their commitment towards delivery the party’s candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The meeting is center at cementing their age-long togetherness and everlasting political realignment with two LGAs aim at producing votes that will place APC ahead of other participating political parties in November election.

In a remark, Sen. Sunday Karimi representing Kogi West District appreciated Kogi LG residents for voting APC all the party candidates in the recently conducted general elections .

Senator Karimi emphasize the need for the people of the area to replicate similar action so that APC will record over overwhelm victory.

The Senator also announced that he is in collaboration with an agency outside the State to donate hospital equipment to Kogi LG as part of concerted effort to meet the health need of the people.

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, said the two LGAs have agreed to move together, noting that existing alliance between is solid as one can come between them.

Speaker Yusuf solicited the support of Lokoja/Koto residents to stand firmly by their own as the only pillar of unity they have to strengthen their unity.

According to Speaker, the LGAs shared ancestry lineage hence for the party support to show sincere commitment to deliver their very own APC candidate, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo.

 

 

He noted that the two are in a healthy competition about who would produce the highest number of votes to clinch the election for the party’s candidate in the election, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, a development he said should propel every party member to join in making history.

The Speaker therefore promised the people that unlike the past, the current leadership has learnt from what had transpired in the past, stressing that they would not betray their trust.

Other speakers all called on the people to maintain their loyalty to the ruling party and ensure they vote for and encourage others to also vote for the APC in the coming election.

On his part, Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Hon (Engr.) Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu told the mammoth crowd to disregard the lies of opposition, adding that they have nothing to offer to the people of the area.

Engineer Bashir Gegu assured the residents and teeming APC supporters of government continue patronage.

He call on people of Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency continue with their peaceful mobilization of voters which he said is the major strength of the ruling party.

The Chairman of Stakeholders in the Federal Constituency, Hon Suleiman Baba-Ali from Lokoja LG, acknowledge the continue support APC was getting from inception to date, saying the leadership will not disappoint them.

Ali a former health commissioner in the State charged the two LGAs to work assiduously at ensuring APC led administration retain its victory come November 11 election.

Also speaking a co-chairman for the federal constituency, and former lawmaker who represented Kogi/Koton-karfe constituency, Hon Saidu Akawu Salihu (SAS) praised the large turnout of APC members, he advised them to use the strength to vote APC massively in the next month election.

On his part, Barr. Muhammed Musa Tanko Osuku, the Executive Chairman Kogi State Civil Service Commissioner said the existing unity among Kogi/Lokoja federal constituency pave way for numerous developments under the administration of Governor Yahaya Adozo Bello, calling on his people to sustain the tempo.

According to Civil Service boss, the mammoth crowd of APC supporters who gather here today at Central Primary School Koton-karfe is a clear testimony that APC is a party to hold on with.

Global Times Nigeria reports that the stakeholders also received some opposition leaders alongside their followers from PDP, SDP and other parties who formally joined APC in the area.

The stakeholders meeting had in attendance, the Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon Muhammed Dan’Asabe Muhammed and his Kogi Local Government counterpart, chieftains of the party in the two Local Government Areas, members of the State House of Assembly for the two Local Government Areas, Hon Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani and Hon Idrees Aliyu, former State lawmaker and others.
