Financial Autonomy: Nasarawa Assembly Present Report On Self Accounting

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has presented its report on a bill for a Law to Provide for Self Accounting of the state House of Assembly for effective legislation and service delivery.

Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced this on Monday when Hon Mohammed Alkali, presented the report of the House Standing Committee on Judiciary, Ethics and Privileges on “A Bill for a Law to Provide for Self Accounting of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

The speaker who slated March 2nd, 2020 for deliberation on the report acknowledged the significant of the bill to the overall peace and development of the state.

Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi also commended the commiitee for timely completion of the assignment adding that the bill if finally passed will go a long way in strengthening legislative activities.

Earlier, Hon Mohammed Alkali, (APC- Lafia-North), the Deputy Chairman of the committee, presented the report on behalf of Hon John Osewu (PDP-Doma South), the Chairman of the committee.
