A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson, has passed on.

Kemi Nelson, popularly known by her title as Yeye-sewa of Lagos, was born on 9th February 1956.

Yeye-Sewa, well known in the social circle for her low-cut hairstyle, unique headgear, smile, and dancing prowess, had been absent from the social radar in recent times probably headgear health, and challenges.

Her appearance in the political circle in recent times gave the impression that she was fully back before her sad demise.

The Former Executive Director of Operations of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) served as the Lagos State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation during the tenure of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Governor of Lagos State.

She has also served as the Women Leader of Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was later made the South West Women Leader of APC.

Before her demise, she was the only female serving member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) and will be sorely missed by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State, South West, and at the Federal level.
