In a condolence message he personal signed and made available to the press, the Adolor of Uromi Kingdom expressed shock over the news of the passage of the Edo State born media business mogul. He said he will be greatly missed.
“I am shocked over the death of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi who was full of life and zest. I am yet to comprehend his sudden passage.
“Chief was very full of life, I can vividly recall some of our interactive moments in time past. He was a patriotic Nigerian who wanted a better Nigeria. His indelible mark as the pioneer of private broadcasting TV station in Nigeria is in our folklore. He helped in opening the space for other investors in broadcasting media in Nigeria.
“Even as he will be greatly missed, we cannot however question God why the life he gave has also been taken as we consider his departure untimely. I commiserate with the people of Weppa Wanno, the Edo State people and Nigerians who have lost a very illustrious son, a son who’s life as a businessman and philanthropist has inspired many. May God grant those who he has left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, and may God, the Merciful, grant his soul eternal rest.”
