Fresh crisis hits Kogi Labour Party, Chairman suspended indefinitely over misconduct

Barely a week the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, and former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Gregory Obi was in the State to canvassed for vote ahead of the 2023 elections.

The Labour Party Kogi State chapter has been engulfed with deep crisis rocking it’s fold and on the verge of tearing the party into pieces if urgent step is not taken.

Alhaji Musa Odamagu, Labour Party Chairman, Igalamela Odolu Local Government Area Kogi state has been suspended indefinitely for gross misconducts.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the executive members made available to Globalatimesnigeria.com at Ajaka, administrative headquarters of the local government area, indicates that the chairman will remain suspended till the allegations level against him is investigated.

Our investigation revealed that the suspended Chairman was Link to the hardship encountered by the members during the rally organise for the presidential candidate of the party Mr Peter Obi in Lokoja Kogi state.

Meanwhile Mr.Yahaya Ibrahim Atabo has been sworn in as the acting Chairman of the party.

Speaking at inaugural occasion, the acting Chairmen said he will uphold the ethics of the party in line with its manifesto.

According to the party exco the disciplinary action is to sanitize the party of misdeeds.

In a recent related development over 10,000 decampees have defected to Labour party from other apolitical patties.
