Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects and State Focal Person, National Social Investment Programme, SIP, Hon. (Prince) Abdulkareem Onyiekehi Suleiman, FIMC, has expressed dismayed over illegal activity of some people extorting money from N-Power Batch C Stream 1 candidates for the physical verification exercise and the Intending Beneficiaries of GEEP 2.0 Registration at various registration Centre in the State.
The State focal person laid down the warning in a statement on Friday said those involved in this unofficial and fraudulent practice should in their own good interest desist from the act as the appropriate authority has been communicated for appropriate action against those exploiting the candidates.
“It is on this note that we would like to remind the general public that NO FEE whatsoever is attached to all the ongoing exercises of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) across Kogi State just as we have emphasized that NO Application Form is required for the GEEP 2.0.”
According to him, the attitude of those that are extorting money from N-Power Batch C candidates and the intending beneficiaries of GEEP 2.0 is illegal, criminal and totally unacceptable.
The Federal Government attaches no monetary charge to the N-POWER application, verification or deployment.
The public is hereby advised not to part with any money to whoever requests payment for ANY of the processes of the N-POWER Batch C verification or GEEP 2.0 Registration.
