It was a celebration of rich cultural heritage of Egbira especially that of Gegu Beki, Kogi local government area of the State, who were joined by their friends, families and well wishers in the celebration.
The event which was tagged one of the best in recent time had in attendance over one thousand people from all walks of life including some indigenous artistes.
Speaking at the event, the State Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, disclosed that the event was designed to unite the Egbira and their counterparts living in Gegu Beki community.
According to him, the event was also meant to unveil the rich beauty of Gegu Beki cultural heritage, adding that Egbira also brings other ethnic cultures of diverse nationalities in to interface with theirs in order to foster unity.
The Commissioner who also gifted the community with 500,000 naira as part of support to boost educational development in the area.
While the hunters keeping vigil where also honoured by the Commissioner to boost their morales in the fight against crimes in the society.
The elated Commissioner went further to upset the tuition fees of 10 students from different Higher institutions with aim to less their pains.
Bashir Gegu said the succour was part if his clear love and passion for continuously supporting education in the area. He promised to equipped the community secondary school with chairs and table even as he said more is on the way coming to the community.
Engr Bashir Gegu who praise Governor Yahaya Bello as the best ever Governor who have touched the lives of majority and transformation of Kogi state to a world taste.
He said no distractions from any quarter can stop Governor Yahaya Bello because of simplicity, honesty, faithfulness, fearlessness and touching of lives positively.
Engr Bashir Gegu admonish peaceful coexistence as the only way continuous dividend of democracy can get to his people.
Our correspondent report that the event was unique in view of different programs ranging from lectures with the themes as follows; Population census, the importance to the society which was delivered by Dr Abubakar Musa ( a senior lecturer with College Of Education, Zuba.
Culture, traditions as a panacea to peaceful coexistence delivered by Dr Abdulmumuni Muhammed a lecturer with Bayero University Kano, BUK,.
Other programs showcases the entrepreneurial acumen of the people of Gegu Beki, farm produce were displayed, the leather and shoe makers, vulcanizers, Artisans, POS dealers, Oil Mogul, food sellers.
All displayed how they started and the importance for self reliance.
The community appraised the year 2022 performance and gave it excellent because of dividends of democracy derived in one single year .
The Ohinoyi of Gegu Beki Kingdom Alh Alhassan ABBA Muhammed appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for the transformation of Gegu Beki in particular and Kogi state at large in terms of physical and human development. He prays that Allah will bless him in this world and beyond.
The occasion was chaired by Dr Nuhu Idris and dignitaries across board from Gegu Beki grace the occasion and tag it a huge success.
Cultural troop across board from different tribes of Egbira, Bassa, Gbaji, Igala, Hausa , Ganagana etc displayed marvelously, Kogi State art and culture performance was highly incredible.
Outstanding performance award was presented to Engr Bashir Gegu and Alh Muhammed Abdulrahman MD Bakka oil for their support for the uplift men of Gegu Beki generally.
The chairman of GEBDA Dr Abubakar Musa who thank all other exco members said it was a massive support and showered encomium on Dr Yunusa Labaran who is the patron for always been there for the community.

Hon Sunday Karimi APC senatorial candidate for Kogi west dole out 500,000 for the support of the community.
