Gov. Bello Hails Kogi State Sports Ministry for Consistently Making the State Proud

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has again expressed satisfaction with the recorded success of the Sports Ministry in consistently winning medals for the State.

Governor Bello gave the commendation while receiving Miss Ize Sezou and other Kogi athletes at the Government House, Lokoja.

Governor Bello in his magnanimity placed the little Ize on scholarship and cash donations with other athletes.

He further promised to host the athletes who previously won medals for the State in previous competitions.

Miss Ize amongst others were officially presented to the Governor by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Idris Musa (Danjuma Oando) for making the State proud at the just concluded National Principal Cup and National Championship held recently at Lagos and Abuja respectively.

The Commissioner while presenting the icons to the sports loving Governor, commended the unalloyed commitment of His Excellency to the sports sector, stressing that the recorded successes were as a result of the enabling environment provided by the amiable and dynamic Governor.

The Commissioner appreciated the Governor for his motivation and reassured him that the Ministry shall continue to fly higher, the State’s flag in the sports arena.

Miss Ize won both Silver and Bronze Medals at the National Principal Cup and Tennis National Championship and bagged the Most Promising Player Award.

Recall that the Sports Ministry under Hon. Idris Musa as Commissioner also won several medals at the last National Sports Festival, “Edo 2020” amongst other national and international outings.

Making the Ministry’s delegation is Mr. Onipe Obakachi, Kogi State Director of Sports and Coach Friday Abuh.
