Governor Bello swears in 3 new Commissioners.

Following the resignation from office by some members of the Kogi State Executive Council to contest for elective positions, Governor Yahaya Bello has sworn in three commissioners, who were screened by the state House of Assembly.

The new commissioners who took the oath of office and allegiance on Friday were charged to sustain the ideals of the New Direction policy of the administration.

The governor, therefore, announced that Doctor Zakari Usman from Dekina Local Government Area would oversee the Ministry of Health, Engr. Muhammed AbdulMutalib is to serve as the Commissioner of Rural and Energy Development, while Mr. Kingsley Fanwo was reappointed as the Commissioner for Information and Communication.

Governor Bello urged the new appointees to Join their colleagues in the discharge of their duty, congratulating them for joining the state’s highest decision-making body to serve the people.

He advised them to make sure that the citizens have maximum benefit from the available scarce resources.

The Governor also advised the new commissioners to acquaint themselves with the New Direction Blueprint which had since been the template of policy for the administration.

He equally charged them to make unity and peaceful coexistence a top priority and to ensure that their areas of influence are fully mobilized against criminals.

The governor urged the new appointees to always carry the people along and ensure that governance is impacted at the grassroots.
