Gwagwalada Council Chair Holds First Security Meeting.

The chairman of the Gwagwalada area council, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Giri, held its first security meeting after he assumed office.

Our correspondent report that the security meeting which was held at the chairman’s office had in attendance the representatives of the army, police, civil defense corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Correctional service, village chiefs, district heads as well as traditional rulers.

The chairman, while speaking at the security meeting, assured that his administration would not politicize security issues, saying efforts will be made to secure the lives and properties of entire residents of the council.

He said his administration will not politicize or be given undue publicity, saying what is required to achieve the best results are adequate planning, coordination, and cooperation.

He appealed to the residents of the council to continue to appreciate the laudable efforts of the military and the various security agencies to combat insecurity across the council.

He, however, called on residents to always cooperate and offer credible intelligence reports to the security agencies, with a view to nipping crimes and criminality in the area.

Also speaking, the Aguma of Gwagwalada, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Muhammad Magaji, appreciated the council chairman for summoning a security meeting upon assumption of office.

He advised politicians and mischief makers to stop politicizing the security but rather join hands with the present administration to tackle security challenges in the council.
