The Hon. SSA on Political Matters to H.E the Deputy Governor of Kogi State and President, Igala Youth Development Congress (IYDC), Hon. Felix Solomon Omachoko, with other leaders and members of the association paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Hon. Justice OMODAN, until his unfortunate demise Hon. Justice was the LGA coordinator of IYDC and one of the APC executive members Ukwaja ward, in Idah LGA.
Recall that, the late New Direction advocate and strong loyalist of the ruling party APC, whose contribution to the growth of the party is widely affirmed by large number of followers, Omodan was killed by unknown gunmen in his modest house at Idah on the 19th of January 2020.
Hon. Felix, while delivering his condolence message on behalf of his boss, the Deputy Governor, H.E Chief Edward David Onoja, assured the family of Omodan, The government’s firm resolve to bring perpetrators of the dastardly act to justice, saying that the present government under the leadership of Governor, Bello has zero tolerance for crime against humanity.
Hon. Felix, also assured the family of the deceased, the resolve by IYDC leadership to carter to the needs of the two little kids he (OMODAN) left behind.
While advising the youths of Idah and by extension Igala kingdom in entirety, he admonished all the sundry to choose a life of living for one another positively, rather than engaging in acts that are inimical to the progress of the once peaceful kingdom,
He called on the Council Administrator and other critical stakeholders of the LGA to put serious measures in place to fully curtail the perpetual social menace in the LGA and its environ.
According to him, Idah has been known recently for incessant killings and such is undoubtedly not healthy.
Hon. Felix, visited the wife and aged mother of the deceased with message of heavy heart from the Deputy Governor,
Praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased, urging the family to remain calm, as all efforts are ongoing to ensure justice is served for the perpetrators of this act.
