“Isimbabi an origin of Shafa Abakpa (Sofiyo) electoral ward in Toto local government area says it’s unfortunate that people swim in rumours and cherish saying what they don’t even know. It beats my imagination and I thought I had to go into my library and bring out the proofs of our primary election results with Honourable Samuel Egya.”

“As can be seen from the results of the 2 Local Government Areas.
I scored a total vote of 189, while Samuel Egya scored 8 votes from Toto LGA.”

In Nasarawa LGA, Honourable Samuel Egya scored a total of 284 votes, while I got 58 votes. as can be seen on my letter of complaint to the Chairman National Electoral Committee of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, dated 20th December, 2002.

Hon. Samuel Egya scored a total votes of 292 votes, while I scored a total vote of 251 votes. He defeated me with 41 votes difference.

From the foregoing, I decided to write a letter of complain based on the provision of section 31 (4) of the Peoples Democratic Party constitution which states that “for a candidate to emerge as a clear winner he/she must have scored at least 50% of the total votes cast.

In this case, 50% of the total vote cast was 351 as none of the aspirants met the requirements, so the situation required a rerun between the 1st person with the highest votes and the aspirant that came 2nd.

Unfortunately, i was left alone in the fight. No single Egbira elder was ready to come out to support me for the fear of Governor Abdullahi Adamu then.

“I sought for a redress and was never granted by the state siting security reasons which was best known to them.”

Now, the question is,

Which votes will Hon. Samuel Egya buy from me when already led me with a total of 41 votes?

“Why could I’ve to sell to him since he was already leading me with 41 votes”?

“Which of my votes as entrusted to me by the good people of Toto LGA did I sell that amounts to betrayal of trust”?

Hon. Isimababi who is generally known as Solution said he made it bold to explain to the general public to clear the air in view of preventing campaign of calumny as orchestrated by some politically ignorant persons.

Presently I have secured the ticket of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) going into the election for the Nasarawa State House of Assembly with the promise of a sincere and passionate representation.

The Toto/Gadabuke state constituency has not been adequately and positively represented since the inception of this political dispensation, I am promising the entire people of the area of reversing the decadent political and social order.
