The SSA on security, Adavi Local Government, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami has assured the people of Adavi adequate security of lives and properties,
Omuya who made the call while he hosted elders, traditional rulers, youths in his office, stressed on the dire need to beef up security in other to barricade the incessant rise in insecurities across Kogi state.
The meeting was attended by all the Security Agencies in the LG, the Ohi Of Adavi LG, other Traditional rulers, Ward Heads, Religion leaders, Association of the Cultural Heritage, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Coordinator, among others.
The SSA Security in charge of Adavi LG, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami who chaired the meeting reiterated his commitment to the total welfare of his people as it is his topmost priority, saying that It has become necessarily clamorous to hold a strategic meeting of this nature once or twice in a month in order to address some issues concerning the Security challenges in Adavi LGA, as his Principal Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello mandated him to do in order to find substantial and helpful solutions to curb insecurity challenges confronting the LG.
Hon. Joseph who expressed dissatisfaction over the Isanlu robbery attack, Condoles with the family of the affected people, and further prayed for the souls of the heroes who laid their lives to protect the lives of others.
Hon. Joseph Salami charged the Security Agencies to fish out the perpetrators of any form of criminal activities taking place in Adavi LGA, assuring the people of his total involvement in fight against insecurities in the local government.
In their their seprate remarks, the traditional rulers applauded the effort of the Executive Governor of Kogi State and further gave an assurance for more cooperation via needful actions to safe guide the life and property which is the major emphasis of the Present Administration under the Leadership of his Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Youths of NYCN further added that they welcome the idea of the Strategic meeting and also impressed with the outcome of it;
” However, we are asking to do more in order for those living in various communities and the traveler’s passer-by along Adavi-Lokoja road not to live in anxiety; they concluded.
While preaching for peace and unity among the people of Adavi as the Celebration of Echa-Ane cultural heritage continues in Adavi LGA
Hon. Joseph commended the effort of the Cultural Heritage Committee, and charged them never to relent their effort, to maintain peace & Unity, and also curtail the movement of cultural heritage displayed on major roads.
