It was like a political carnival or the good people of Kabba/Bunu/ Ijumu ederal constituency as Hon. Olumeyan Oluwafemi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a leading of Representatives Aspirant for Kabba/ Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency declared interest to run for the 2023 House of Representatives seat.
The first port of call was the Othe do-Ape community where the people came out in large numbers to welcome their son for declaring his intention to run for the position of House of Representatives under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The people expressed their joy for the courage and boldness of Hon. Olumeya luwafemi to venture into the race, they urged him to continue as the sky will be his limit.
Various associations came out in their large number to welcome him and to pay solidarity to him, they emphasized that the “Youth O Clock slogan for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency is now” and it will start from the turn of Hon. Olumeyan Olorufemi to represent the good people of the federal constituency in 2023 and urged other aspirants to key into the moving train of the aspirant as they could see light, development, peace, and progress in the person of Hon. Oluwafemi (Olusco).
The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Asuta Ward and its executives could not hide their joy in appreciation to God for the choice of Hon Olumeyan Oluwafemi popularly called Olusco by friends and admirers, urging the people to support him for the realization of his lofty objective aimed at bettering the condition of the people of the area if an elected member, House of Representatives in 2023.
At the Peoples Democratic Party secretariat, Kabba Bunu local government area, the Executives of the party received the aspirant with pomp and pageantry for the declaration of interest to contest for the House of Representatives in 2023 for Kabba/Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency urging him to work closely with party delegates in ensuring the mandate is secured as winning the general election is the responsibility of all irrespective of the party as the people are ready to stand by him at all times.
The Chairman of the party, Hon. J.J. Olajide who was represented by the vice-chairman stated that Kabba/Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency is PDP base in Kogi West and the entire state, urging the aspirant not to fear as the people are with him to succeed.
Responding, on behalf of his supporters, Hon Olumeyan Oluwafemi
appreciated the party executives for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage to the party office, he assured them of his readiness to change the narratives of legislative assignment positively adding that, his mission and vision is for the emancipation of the federal constituency and with God on his side, he promised to legislate on laws that will bring more development to the Constituency.
