Hon. Usman Shafa Empowers Constituents With Over N9m Items

The Member representing Toto/Gadabuke at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, on Saturday distributed 40 sewing machines, 50 grinding machines, 600 wrappers among other items worth over Nine million naira as empowerment to some members of his constituency.

Labaran Shafa, while distributing the items at the APC secretariat in Toto, said that the gesture was borne out of his desire to improve on the economic and living conditions of his people as well as fulfill part of his campaign promises.

He also distributed 60 cartoons of herbicides and 30 sprayers to farmers as inputs in order to boost food production in the area.

Honourable Usman Labaran who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Health, also commissioned his constituency office and installed 35 stands of solar power street lights in Toto town.

“My quest and aspiration is to make a difference, I will never disappoint you and you will never regret voting for me,” he said.

In his remarks, Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, urged the beneficiaries to use the items for the purpose they are meant for in order to change their lives positively.

He assured them of quality and sound representation at the state legislature, calling on the people to give Governor Abdullahi Sule all the needed support and understanding emphasizing that the Governor have them at heart.

The two lawmakers urged the people of Toto LGA to live in peace, be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and tolerate one another for development to thrive in the area.

Various speakers at the event showered praises on Hon Labaran Shafa describing his gesture as the first of its kind in the history of state lawmakers in the area .

The event had in attendance the state Commissioner for Health Pharm.Ahmed Baba Yahaya, DG State pension Board, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Oseze, Special Adviser to the Governor on Conflict resolution, Hon Abdullahi Tashas, a one time commissioner in the state, Hon Yusuf Omaki, among other prominent personalities that witnessed the presentation of the items to the beneficiaries.
