“I’m not in public office for personal gain but to serve my people”.

….Receives exemplary leadership award by media organizations.

The Executive Chairman of Toto local government area of Nasarawa State, Hon. Aliyu Tashas Abdullahi have received another accolade for delivery democratic dividends to his people.

Presenting the award to the council Chairman, representatives of the Lily Newspaper and Medals Magazine said the honour was in recognition of impressive performance of Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas especially in areas of infrastructural development and restoration of Peace Toto and its environ.

The Media expert explained that opinion poll conducted by the body showed that Toto Local Government was ranking in term of developmental sgrides and the council boss was outstanding in the delivery of democratic dividends to his people.

“The Amiable Chairman was able to address the insecurity challenge, farmer/herder crisis which existed in the area and urged him to sustain the peace”.

The group also advised other local government chairmen in Nasarawa State to emulate Tashas’s administrative capacity by initiating programmes that have direct positive impact on their people.

Responding, the awardee and Executive Chairman of Toto LGC, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas thanked the Media organizations for the honour done him and said that the gesture would spur him to put more efforts in service delivery to the people, noting that he was not in public office for personal interest but to serve his people.

Hon. Tashas who dedicated the award to his team and people of Toto LG for the support and prayers given to him since assumption of office.

He said he was not a type of person who take award because he is still serving and will only qualify for award when he leave office after his 3 years of a tenure.

He said his administration stands on three (3) thematics direction which he named as infrastructural development, human capital and as well security.

“I don’t need any award for now because we’re still serving and working for Toto LG Citizens. I will be more happier if this type of awards come after I left office”.

“It is after we leave office we will know whether we have perform to the expectations or does below expectations of our people”.

“I want to sincerely appreciate your organizations for finding us worthy of this awards, I want tell you this, your support and encouragement will spur us to do more”. Tashas said.

In a statement issued by Yahaya Idris Toto, Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Media & Communications said the presentation of Awards of Excellent by Lily Newspaper and Medals Magazine was to encourage the Chairman to continue to offer leadership and services to his people and humanity. The award was bestowed on the council boss on 10th January, 2023 in Toto, the council headquarters in appreciation for his people’s oriented leadership and witnessed by Vice Chairman of the council, Hon Abubakar Haruna Kwankis, Council Secretary, Hon. Muhammed Zakari, Councilors, SA’s, SSA’s, APC Chairman, Alhaji Shuaibu Ahmed, stalwarts and opinion leaders.

Similarly, the Vice Chairman Toto LGC, Alhaji Abubakar Haruna Hon Kwanakis H Abubakar was also honoured today by the Media Organization.
