Igala Students Association National Elect New Excos as Comr. Jibrin Muhammed Nasir Emerged National President
The Igala Students Association National (ISAN) has held its national convention where new officials were elected. The elections were held at OLS, Anyigba, Dekina local government area of Kogi State.
The elections into the various offices have Comrade Jibrin Muhammed Nasir from Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba, Dekina local government area of the State, emerging as the President of the association.
In his acceptance speech after being declared by the election committee Chairman, ELCOM, Comrade Abdulhamid Idris, the new president pledged to bring a new vision into the organization.
According to him, it would be his fundamental agenda to see better inclusion of Igala Students in the scheme of things.
He further said that there was no loser in the election as they were all winners as the association had a very peaceful, credible, and keenly contested election.
“There is no victor, no vanquished. I won this election with everyone’s support, it could have only been God. I promise to be the President of everybody and not only those that voted for me,” he said.
At the Convention, Comrade Muhammed Nasir scored the highest number of votes and was declared elected alongside other executive members of the association.
Other elected officials include Comrade Musa Salamatu Ojone, a Student Of Bayero University Kano emerged as the first Female Senate President from Idah Local Government, Amodu Hamza, Vice President, Suleiman Hassan, Deputy Senate President, Suleiman Hassan, Secretary-General
