Stakeholders from Ijumu Oke axis has on Thursday paid a courtesy visit on the administrator of Ijumu LGA and Kogi State ALGON chairman Alh. Dr. Taufiq Isa to formally welcome him home from his recent ALGON National Assignment to the United Kingdom.
The group who were in his office to also acknowledge all the goods works he has been doing for the people of Ijumu LG more especially Ijumu Oke axis was indeed a welcome development
A statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Othman Hamidu said Administrative secretary of the council, Hon.Omonaiye Sunday received the delegation on behalf of his boss, however, said the Administrator was not on seat, saying he had traveled to Lokoja for another very important state matter.
During their deliberation some issue were raised which are as follow:
1.That the delegation unanimously resolved to support Alh. Taufiq Isa in view of his intimidating records in office ranging from empowerment of able youths into gainful venture, sustaining security of lives and property which place him above his contemporary as such one good turn deserved another.
2.That Hon.Taufiq’s ambition is key to Ijumu Oke populace, adding that the few jostling for the chairmanship position only exist on social media who had never contributed financially to the development of the party.
3.The undersigned members of the group said they had found in him a man of uncommon vision and a selfless leader, who cares for his followers and ready to deliver dividends of democracy and hence for their endorsement.
4.The group promised to mobilise men and women of goodwill across the LGA to support Alh Taufiq Isah in order for consolidation for already achieved gains.
5.It was also agreed that meetings of progressive minded of Ijumu-oke for the actualization of Hon.Taufiq will be held frequently in Ijumu OKE axis.
6.The group advised that relevant information that will help this cause should be properly disseminated to keep member abreast of happenings.
7.The group stated that Ijumu Oke is not a volatile terrain towards Hon. Taufiq’s ambition. It added that the people antagonising him are few who have no home base and will be disappointed when the time comes.
8.The group maintained that all faceless and unannounced aspirants who also eye the chairmanship should not be stopped, they should be allowed to test their popularity while they concentrate on campaigning for the man of the moment Alh. Dr Taufiq Isa and look ahead for their electoral victory.
9. Finally, the delegation suggested that the forthcoming primaries should be conducted in ijumu oke, so that the world could witnessed the margin other diaspora aspirants will defeat with as their show of love and solidarity to Alh Isah Taufiq.
In his remarks, the Administrator in absentia welcomed the delegation, promised to considered their thoughtful and tactical political mentorship.
Alh. Taufiq, expressed his sincere commitment to appoint men/women of goodwill among them as volunteers, he assured of his word and urged them to be sustain their Support and loyalty. He stated.
