Ahead of forthcoming 2023 elections, the Member Representing Doma South State Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. John Osewu has called for peace and unity among the people of his constituency and the State at large for development to thrive.

Osewu who is the Chairman of, the House Committee on Judiciary made the call while speaking to newsmen in Lafia today called on his people and the State at large to give Governor Abdullahi Sule all the necessary support to succeed in the positive plans he has for the State.

The Lawmaker who represents Doma South State Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly advised people, especially politicians and their followers to desist from politics of bitterness, character assassination, and blackmail.

However, advised them to engage on issues based on politics for peace and progress of most, especially in this political period.

“The party primary election is around the corner and we must distance ourselves from actions that will breach the peace, power comes from God, politics will come and go, but the people and the society remains”

Hon. John Osewu dismissed rumour of making the round that he is dead and wondered why such insinuations at this particular time stressed that it is only God that gives both power and life hence the need for people to desist from bad wishes against others.

Osewu said that he is healthy and engaged in various activities between yesterday Sunday where he attended church service at ERCC Central, Lafia after which he left for another Church Programme at Kurmi Tagwaye in Akwanga respectively and drove himself to the office in Lafia this morning and after receiving several calls about his death rumor he decided to use this medium to VC called on people to always wish others well.

Osewu is a core staunch of All Progressives Congress, APC, added that when he was seriously ill last time it was rumored that he died, and now that he is healthy and doing well by engaging in various activities. He appreciated God for sustaining his life, guidance, and sound health just as he urge people to wish their fellow beings well.

“This is not the first time I was wished death, and by the special grace of God, they are wishing me long life because it is only God that gives and takes life at his own time, I am not dead and by his grace, I will not die now, as you can see being in the office, I drove my self from Akwanga to Lafia this morning” He added.
