It is a well known facts that Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, Commissioner in charge of the Ministry for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources in Kogi State, is one of the most active appointees of the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and who is representing him at the grassroots levels well.
Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, has said that fulfilling the developmental needs of his people remains his topmost priority.
According to him, successive governments had done their part in terms of bringing development closer to the people, there still exist gaps in some areas that needs urgent attentions which he vowed to bridged the gaps.
The young Commissioner stated this Sunday when he led some of his supporters to tour round his polling unit at Gegu Beki zone C area of Kogi local council of the State and saw reason to impacts more on the lives of his people in the area.
He said numerous projects scatter all over Kogi local government embark by his benefactor and incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello was due largely for special interest he has for their people.
The Commissioner who visited corper’s lodge and donated a generator set to ease their works and as well pledged to renovate the corper’s lodge and furnished it with modern facilities to the Governor’s standard.
While inspecting some dilapidated and abandoned projects by successive administrations across various communities, the Commissioner also order for immediate repair of a Motorized borehole with overhead tanks at Achabo and new generator set to power the motorized it.
Other places visited included the Police Divisional Headquarters, Gegu Beki where he promised to transform it to GYB’s standard and the community cemetery was not left out as the humane commissioner pledged to fence it
Engineer Bashir Gegu, while abduced reasons behind his numerous gestures, said the incumbent Governor is known for changing the narrative noting that he is representing him in Kogi LG, hence to ensure his people felt the impacts of government.
Reacting to the Commissioner’s benevolence, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi local government area has passed a vote of confidence in his favour and described his leadership as all encompassing, adding that he has made it easy for the party to win elections.
When the elders, youths and women of the community gathered to shower praises on him, adding that they never had good as this present leadership, he told them he is only a messenger of the new direction government Christine by Governor Yahaya Bello and that the people should channel their praises to him for given him the opportunity to contribute to the developments of his people.
He urged the people of the area to be peaceful, law abiding and supporting to the present administration under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello in order to get more.
The commissioner was in companied of an Senior Special Assistant, SSA, on population and Data collection to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Suleiman Idowu and host of youth and women groups.
