In Kogi LG, It Is No Longer Safe Haven For Criminals As Gov Bello SSA On Special Duties, Hunters, Vigilante Operatives Nabs 2 Kidnappers

It is no longer news that the Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Rilwan Bala Ette in collaboration with group of Vigilante and hunters have arrested a two man kidnap gang in the area.

The governor aide, while parading the suspects said they were apprehended after series of coordinated attacks in the forest of Koton-Karfe, Kogi LG of the State during a operation.

According to Ette, the suspects are known for kidnapping, raping of women and arm robbery along the Abuja/Lokoja high way among other things.

He said after getting wind of the incident, the joint operatives comprises of Himself, Vigilante group and hunters swung into action and arrested the two suspects while some lost their lives during a gun duel with security operatives.

Ette disclosed that a gun, cutlass and dagger were recovered from the suspects and assured the law-abiding residents of the LG of adequate security of their lives and property.

It would be recalled that a similar joint operation was carried out last month by the Governor aide and supported by the State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and natural resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu and huge success was recorded.

The residents of Koton-Karfe and its environ has commended the governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for picking Ette and Engineer Bashir Gegu as his appointees as their services to the people of Kogi LG is highly commendable.
