Following the recent appointments of youths into the administration of Alhaji Abdullahi A. Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, critical stakeholders within and outside the State have reacted to the development described the Governor’s action as commendable and most youth friendly Governor in history of the State.
In the lead to show appreciation is Hon. Imran Usman Jibrin, Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule who double as Focal Person Social Investment Program in the State, has on Tuesday, in a press statement issue on behalf of all the youths and other good people of Laminga Ward, Nasarawa LGA and the State at large, wish to extend their profound gratitude to o the able, youth friendly and hardworking Governor, Engr Abdullahi A Sule on the recent appointments of a large number of youths into his very robust and transparent administration.
According to the Focal Person, such a gesture is an evidence of fulfilling one of His Excellency’s promises that he would provide employment opportunities for our teaming youths that have been unemployed for a long time, and only used as political thugs and weapons against and among political key players. Being idle especially among young, able built boys and men, is an engine room for all sorts of devilish actions and inactions. An idle mind, is indeed a devil’s workshop. He said.
Thus, any society that wishes to develop significantly, the youths have to be positively engaged and brought on board the helms of affairs of government. Therefore, the significance of the wise saying of “build a youth and you build a nation”, cannot be overemphasised. We are the future of our great nation and this is the time to get it right. This, our able Governor, has got it right, by the recent appointments, as a first step towards that direction.
“My sincere advice to the appointees will always be, whenever we are oppurtuned to be in any leadership position, is to always have the fear of the Almighty in all that we do and be selfless in our affairs. We should always remember that it is just an opportunity given to us and we are there to serve people not our selfish interests. Leadership is not an access to become rich in wealth but to gather more knowledge, experience and expertise to perform better, and also an opportunity to give back to the society. From the opportunity I had to interact with some of the appointees, I believe and have the confidence that there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel insha Allah.”
