Insecurity: Chaplain General Urges Churches, Worship Centres to Constitute Security Committees in Kogi.

Worried by massacres in Churches across the country, the Chaplain General of the Churches in Kogi state, Sam Keddy Balogun, has advised worship centres to constitute security committees to checkmate attacks by terrorists.

Balogun gave the advise on Monday during an interview with Journalists in Lokoja where he attended Security workshop organised by Nigeria Police,held at the Children Amusement Park.

He said that Churches should organise and train vigilantes that would man the entrances and conduct thorough search on all persons coming in to their premises.

While commending the Nigeria Police for organising the Security workshop, the Commander General urged the participants to put to practice lesions they have taken .

The participants were drawn from the Vigilantes groups, Nigeria Hunters groups, paramilitary,Civil Service, Nigeria Medical Association, religious groups and some voluntary organisations.

Lectures were delivered by Security experts, Deputy Commissioner of Police, DSS, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps as well as Academicians.
