Senator Smart Adeyemi has been commended by the people of Kogi local government area of Kogi state over his positive contributions at the Senate, particularly on issue bordering on security.
Mr Omata Mahmud, a retired civil servant, popularly called Crammer, in an interview with our Correspondent in Lokoja on Sunday, expressed the gratitude of Senator Adeyemi’s stance of zero tolerance to the lingering banditry and kidnappings of innocent Nigerians.
Crammer as fondly called, noted that the ongoing act of brigandage has cause a lot of untold hardship to the people of Kogi west Senatorial district of the state, as farming and other essential services for the sustainable livelihood have been stalled.
He said that Senator Adeyemi’s contributions asking the federal government to declare war against bandits is heartwarming and deserve total support from the people.
The retired Civil servant also declared his support to the call by the retired Genal Theophilous Yakubu Danjuma who suggested that Nigerians should not sit by and watch miscreants kill them and destroy their hard earned properties, have no option than to defend themselves.
While hailing the gallantry of the Kogi local government vigilante for resisting the invasion of the area by bandits and terrorists, urged well to do citizens to assist them with finance and logistics so that they can perform optimally.
While condoling the family of late commander of the vigilante, Alhassan Alhassan, who lost his life in active service to the people, urged government to do the needful to them as a way of encouragement to the remaining volunteers.
He equally commended Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his security consciousness and dexterity in combating crimes across the state.
