Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, a frontline governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has promised to set aside 1 billion dollars to industrialized the State if given the ticket and subsequently elected in November 23, 2023 election in the State.
Audu said a special funds will be set aside to support developments in all front and will ensure Ajaokuta steel company manufacture locally and internationally vehicles using the iron ore factory to improve the living standard of the State.
“I’m a financial expert, I will be prudent in my administration and my focused will be creating jobs and adding values to the State.”
“I have the needed experience and capacity to serve the people of Kogi State, I will consolidate on achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello as to build on his contributions.”
Prince Audu stated this on Wednesday during his Media Parley with Journalists covering activities of the National Secretariat of All Progressives Congress, APC, shortly after submitted his intent and nomination of interest forms in Abuja.
Speaking further, he said Governor Yahaya Bello deserve some accolades in areas of security and infrastructural development, noting that in his quest for a better society he needs the support of all including the Governor to enable him consolidate on already achieved dividends of democracy.
On power shift, Shuaibu Audu assured Kogi populace of a level playing ground if he is elected as Governor, saying his aspiration represent fair, equity and balance so that everyone will feel at home.
On his 7 point agenda, he reeled out some plans of action which he will execute if elected and as follow: education, empowerment, job creation, infrastructure, security, special priority to less privilege, women and youths
While paying tribute to his late father who served as first and second executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, (Prince) Abubakar Audu of the blessed memory, he described the former governor as a great legacy Kogi ever had and promised to continued with his political ideals and programs towards providing succour to the people of Kogi where religion and ethnicity will not be an option.
Global Times Nigeria reports that Prince Shuaibu Audu upon arrival at the National party secretariat Abuja was welcomed by hundreds of supporters holding placards with his names boldly written as “Kogi Sai Audu” and chanting victory song as they accompanied him to the admin office where he process the submission of his documents.
He was received by Director Administration APC National Secretariat and former Executive Chairman Lafia LGA of Nasarawa State, Hon. Suleiman Wambai and other staff.
