Just in: Tiv community in Lafia LG rejoices with Commissioner of Science, Technology & Innovation
The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovation, Honourable Samuel Kafu Emgba has played host to Tiv Community in Nasarawa State.
The delegation which comprising of Tiv youth and women from Lafia East Development Area of Lafia Local Government Area on Saturday stormed the Commissioner’s residence at Bukan Sidi, Lafia to congratulate him on his new appointment as Honourable Commissioner of science, Technology and Innovation.
The delegation which led by Mr. Akpev Williams and Mrs Dorcas Joseph (Woman Leader) said they were in the Commissioner’s to congratulate him over his appointment.
The people also pledged their unalloyed support to the Commissioner and Governor Abdullahi Sule led administration.
While appreciating the Governor for appointing their leader, lauded his positive impact towards restoring lost glory and revamping the unity and progress of Nasarawa State.
The group described appointment of Emgba as well deserved considering his antecedent and support to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State.
In a press release issued by Amb. Attah Timmy, Personal Assistant (PA) Media to the Hon Commissioner said Mr. Emgba is a native of Eggon, adding that he hail from Lafia LGA of the State.
Timmy noted that Emgba is known for his generosity, humility and ability to prove leadership and services to his people.
“Emgba is a humble and committed person who has the ability to carry everybody along respective of tribe, religion and political affiliation, we wished the Hon. Commissioner more wisdoms in this present administration.
Responding, the Commissioner Science, Technology and Innovation, Honourable Samuel Kafu Emgba, expressed gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for finding him worthy for appointment.
He thanked the Tiv Nation most especially the youth delegation for coming down to rejoiced with him and assured of his continued support.
The Commissioner, however, charged them to embrace, support the youth’s friendly policies and programmes of Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule in lifting Nasarawa State dream to a greater heights.
Global Times Nigeria report that the Hon Abeghe Helen Elias,the Special Assistant to the Governor was present during the visit.
