Kogi 2023: APC delegates, stakeholders backs Shuaibu Audu Gov’ship ambition

Ahead of April 10 governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State, Kogi residents from different religion and ethnic extractions has displayed their open support and love for Alhaji (Prince) Shauibu Abubakar Audu, Kogi born Lagos based banker as their next governor to succeed incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello.

The group in their number were representatives from 21 local government areas of the State had stormed Abuja on Tuesday mainly to throw their weight behind the hopeful governor of Kogi State

Shuaibu Audu is in Abuja preparatory to visit the national party secretariat where he is expected to submit his (50, 000 000) fifty million naira interest and nomination forms inline with APC guidelines.

In a lead of comment, Mr. Umar Sheriff, a Kogi State Coordinator Tinubu for Good Governance from Dekina LG and a stalwart of APC said Shuaibu Audu is more grounded to succeed Governor Yahaya Bello considering his antecedents and impact to the state.

He appealed to APC delegates to do the needful by ensuring that Shuabu Audu is elected during the primaries slated for April 10, 2023 in the State.

Alhaji Sadiq Suleiman from Ajaokuta LG central district of Kogi State, said he was in Abuja to show his support to Alhaji Shuaibu Audu and expressed optimism that the young banker has the exposure and wherewithal to serve the people of the State.

He called on Kogi people to give their all support to Alhaji Shauibu Audu, adding that his aspiration represent his late father’s goodwill.

Other speakers who spoke include, Hajia Kande Daila from Lokoja LG, who assured Shuaibu Audu of women support across the state, owing to his massive philanthropic gesture render over the year.

Other delegates who added their voice said the banker cum politician has been tested, trusted and proven and that he stands a better chance to clinch the party’s ticket in April 10, 2023.

Global Times Nigeria reports that Alhaji Shuaibu Audu has provided some dividends of democracy across the three senatorial districts of the State and had improve socio-economic status of the state via his numerous programs and policies.
