Kogi 2023: Bash Women Association drum support for APC, donates Campaign items to Boost party’s Victory.
Women in Kogi/Koton-karfe local government area of Kogi State has throw weight behind the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to retain its power beyond 2023 election in view of it’s growth and development.

A group known as Bash Women Association saddle with responsibility of fronting women electioneering campaigns for all APC candidates from bottom to top to emerge in the forthcoming 2023 election in Kogi LG.

It would be recalled that the women group was inaugurated few years ago with membership cut across nooks and crannies of Kogi LG and with sole aimed to promote the programs and policies of Engineer Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural resources and by extension present administration in the State under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello.

In an opening remarks, Malama Kudirat Salihu, the Leader of the group, said Engr. Bashir Gegu’s leadership inclusiveness and leadership capacity endeared them to APC and change mantra of the new direction christen by Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
Salihu stated this at the launching of APC campaigns materials for all candidates vying different positions in the State, expressed optimism that the party will carried the day owing to its various intervention in Kogi LG and beyond.
“We the undersigned Bash Gegu Women Association is aligning our interest with the leadership of the party from ward to national levels. We are a leaving witness to unprecedented records recorded by APC led administration in Kogi LG by our amiable Governor Yahaya Bello and his representative from the host LG, Engr. Bashir Gegu.”
While reeling out some of the achievements of the present administration which include, construction of a world class reference hospital in Gegu, grading and upgrading of traditional stools for ease of administration, ensuring peace, stability and security of lives and property in the area.
She used the opportunity to galvanized support for the APC from bottom to top in order to consolidate the good works it has started beyond 2023.
She also appreciate the Governor for the confidence repose in Engr. Bashir Gegu, adding that such development has yielded positive results at the grassroots.
On his part, the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives flagbearer representing Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency, Hon. Seiman Danladi Aguye lauded the selfless contributory effort of the women folks geared towards delivery APC at all levels.
Aguye said he was impressed with this initiative Kogi LG women and youths brought to bear in their politicking and for coming out openly to showers encomium on their political leader and now serving as Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources with Kogi State Government, Hon. (Engr.) Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu for his tireless effort to leave the area better then he met is indeed a welcome development.

The hopeful APC candidate assured the electorate that he will do his best to justify the confidence repose on them and pledged total support and as well carried women along in the scheme of things if elected to the National Assembly.
He described Engr. Bashir Gegu as exceptional leader whose always talking of development and especially on how to improve the socio-economic activities and welfare of his people at the State Executive Council, SEC,.
Global Times Nigeria report that the women folks conferred an award of excellence on their political leader and Commissioner for solid mineral and natural resources, Engr. Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu in an effort to appreciate him for the good works he has been doing for his people.

The event had in attendance, Executive chairman Kogi LGA, Hon Dauda Aliyu, SSA’s elected Councillors, supervisory councillors, party chairmen, women leaders led by the LG party’s chairman and groups within Kogi LG.
It’s was also reported that the Solid Mineral Commissioner was unavoidable absent at the event as he was said to have travelled out of the State for all important engagement.
