Kogi 2023: Prince Shuaibu Audu says Kogi will be prosperous and witness socio-economic development

Ahead of April 10 All Progressives Congress, APC, primaries in Kogi State, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has declared to run for the State Governorship position on the podium of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kogi State.

Prince Shuaibu Audu, a son of former Kogi State Governor and renowned banker had picked his intent and nomination forms to succeed Governor Yahaya Bello whose tenure elapsed this year after completing 8 years constitutional tenure.

Global Times Nigeria reports that Prince Shuaibu Audu picked his intent and nomination forms at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja, Prince Shuaibu Audu, saying he was in race to give the State a light of redemption and to consolidate on democracy dividends as provided by the successive administration in the State

The banker cum philanthropist noted that he is most qualified in term of experience, exposure and having the commitment to provide governance to the people of Kogi State.

“I am appealing to all of you, being women, youths and elders to join my quest to serve the State, I will make sure that your dream come true through a purposeful leadership”. He said.

“I have toured the three (3) senatorial State during my philanthropic gestures and I have the opportunity to interact with the people, I was able to do my own contribution in areas of education, health care facility, potable drinking water, empowerment and among others.”

Shuaibu Audu who was fielding questions from the press at the APC National Secretariat Abuja expressed optimism that he come out victorious even as he said he has all it takes to serve the State.

While in Abuja, he also met with his supporters from across the state who stormed the National Secretariat in solidarity with his aspiration sincere commitment to provide good governance to Kogites.

He stated that his aspiration is to enable him consolidate on the gains of democracy as the people of the state are yearning for good, focused and purposeful leadership that will strive for the overall development of the state.

He emphasized that leadership is a responsibility and trust and people should not take the opportunity for granted as the expectations of the people are high.

According to him, he is contesting to tap into the untapped natural resources that the state is blessed with and he queried the inability of both the state and federal governments to utilize the abundant coal deposits in Okaba in Ankpa LGA and other parts of the state to generate electricity, he posited that the iron and steel industry is laying waste.

He further said that the State has land, water resources for agricultural purposes and many more will be looked into for the rapid development of the state as the youths will be gainfully engaged for productive ventures instead of the other way round and make sure the state earns the status of the food basket of the nation.

Global Times Nigeria investigation revealed that Prince Shuaibu Audu who sought the support of APC delegates said if given the ticket of the party and eventually wins the election, the state will be prosperous and witness socio-economic development.

Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu is the grand patron of Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation, a foundation he founded after the demise of his late father, prince Abubakar Audu of the blessed memory with sole aims at alleviating poverty, intervening in area of education, youth and women empowerment, contributing to the growth and development of the society.

The people of Kogi State are overwhelmed with his massive contributions to humanity especially in the area of water supply, empowerment and scholarship award.

Source who do not want his name in print revealed to Global Times Nigeria that about 12 governorship aspirants have paid and picked their nomination forms in the last couple of days to succeed Governor Yahaya Bello.
