It is no longer news that Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu has finally joined the league of Governorship aspirants and have purchased his All Progressives Congress, APC, fifty (50) million naira nomination form to contest the forthcoming governorship election in Kogi State slated for November.
While addressing the press shortly after picking his nomination form said he will consolidate on APC achievements, provide meaningful development that have direct bearing to the people of the State.
Shuaibu Audu is a son of two term former Governor of Kogi State, late Prince Abubakar Audu of the blessed memory.
He said his decision to serve the people of Kogi State was borne out of passion he has for development and sought their support especially the delegate of APC to consider him for the ticket to enable him serve.
There has been jubilation across the State following his interest to serve the people of Kogi and described him as a new face capable of serving the State.
There had also been a series of calls by stakeholders and political pundits to support rotation of powers among the three districts of the State in the interest of fair and equity.
Global Times Nigeria recall that Alhaji Shuiabu Audu is a philanthropist who used his foundation (Shuaibu Audu Foundation) to provide social amenities to the people of the State.
The foundation had also renovated schools, provide portable drinking water, health care facility, empowerment of women and youths across the three senatorial district of the State.
Shuaibu Audu is an origin of Ogbonicha, Ofu LGA in Kogi East District of the State.
