The All Progressives Congress, APC, leaders allegedly suspended, by some members of the party, have given 72 hours to the ” illegal fact finding on anti party activities committee” to retract and apologize to them individually or face court action.
A statement by the Chairman Kogi state Civil Service Commission, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku on Thursday, and made available to the media, said the so-called Committee is illegal, unconstitutional as no such exists in any of the party’s laws or Constitution.

“It is wrong for individuals to assign to themselves responsibilities out of their jurisdictions, only ward executives can initiate disciplinary processes against allegations of wrong doings or misconduct after due and thorough investigation, before forwarding to the higher hierarchy of the party.” Tanko said
The suspended leaders said some premature politicians are attempting to play out their dreams of owning the All Progressives Congress in Kogi local government area.
“How do one imagine such uncivilized impunity to be carried out by highly ignorant persons who believe the party APC is their personal property and can decide to enforce any illegality on members, not minding the rules and regulations guilding the conduct of the party.

“Even if the allegations were made, the rule demands that the suspected culprits must be given fair hearing by calling their attention to the allegation, before taking a punitive measure” Tanko noted
He disclosed that the sponsors of the illegal Committee wanted to sabotage the party, but failed as it won across the wards in the local government area.
He said the Committee is composed of persons who are alien to the party as they did not know how it was formed and run, before they were recruited as thugs to terrorize innocent citizens.
The suspended members of the party, therefore warned that the chairman of the local government and cohorts should rescind their decision within 72 hours, as they may be compelled to take a legal action for defamation and libel.
On the elusive election fund, the suspended leaders of the party has called on the state Leadership of the All Progressives Congress APC to as a matter of urgency investigate the process of fund meant for the election was disbursed to the Kogi Constituency candidate before the election.
Like all other Local Governments in the state during the state Assembly elections, the candidates were given their election money directly except Kogi Koton-Karfe LG.
Due to the corrupt tendencies of Eng. Bashir Gegu ordered that his brother Sa’ad ‘s bank account should be credited and that was done.
The question is how did the Commissioner spent the money, as the election has come and gone.
They equally alleged that the party Chairman misappropriated party items, palliatives and funds Already, there have been grumbling over the issue of the disbursement of the party fund.
They also disclosed that there is a move to suspend him by the Excos, but his cohort Eng. Bashir pleaded until elections are over.
The suspended leaders include, Hon Saidu Akawu Salihu, he is a one time Commissioner and State House of Assembly member of Kogi State. He is from Odaki Ward.
Hon Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, he is one time Administrator of Kogi KK LG, Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and presently the Chairman Kogi State Civil Service Commission. He is from Koton Karfe South East Ward.
Hon. Abdulrahman Wuya, he was at a time in Kogi State, Senior Special Assistant on media to His Excellency and Commissioner. He is from Koton Karfe South East Ward.
Hon. Abdulrahman Akabu, he was Supervisory Counselor in Kogi KK LG and State Deputy Chairman of APC. He is from Girinya Ward.
In the whole exercises leading to the suspension of the these leaders their Ward Chairmen and Ward Executives were not involved.
