No fewer than six suspected persons have been arrested by the Police Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) from Abuja Force Headquarter in connection with Isanlu armed robbery.

Recalled, Twenty-five armed robbers on the 4th of June invaded the Isanlu community in Yagba East local government council of the state attack police station and a bank in a coordinated operation.

The fully armed robbers during the robbery attacked the police station killed every officers on duty including the DPO while another group attacked first bank with dynamite killing two civilian.

It was reliably gathered on Thursday that four of the suspects were picked last week by the SARS from Abeokuta in Ogun state and whisk away to Abuja while two other suspects were picked in Kabba, Kogi state.

According source close to SARS office in Lokoja they disclosed the suspects went to Abeokuta in Ogun State to cool off located a bank in the city to lodge part of the stolen funds and they were apprehended.

The source said the bank officials who saw the monies with First Bank Isanlu wraps became suspicious and alerted the Police leading to their arrest. Our source also revealed that the arrested Suspects have been talking and are volunteering useful information to the police. However, when our correspondent contacted the state commissioner of police, Ede Ayuba, he said he has not been briefed.

“I am not yet aware, may be the Divisional police officers will brief me later today,I don’t know,but for now non of the officers have told me anything like that.” He said that the development can only be confirmed by the force headquarters if it is true.

The Divisional police officer, DPO at the Isanlu Divisional headquarters, Tajudeen Adegbloa and seventh other officers Including a 22 year old newly recruited Rekiyat Yusuf were shot dead.
