Kogi CP Ayoku commends Kogites for peaceful conduct of election, warns against violent protest

Following the recently conducted Presidential and National Assembly elections, the Commissioner of Police in charge of Election Security in Kogi State Police Command: CP Yekini A. Ayoku mni has commended the people of Kogi State for conducting themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner.

He further urges the good people of the state to go about their lawful businesses and to shun all forms of instigation or raucous reactions that may arise from the result of the Election but noted that anyone with any complaint (s) should forward such through lawful channel to maintain a peaceful environment.

In a press statement signed and issued by SP Willam Ovye Aya, Police Public Relations Officer, office of Commissioner of Police, cautioned the people not to take the law into their hands, noting that the Police arej determined to work in synergy with other Forces in the State to deal decisively with anyone who may want to disrupt the existing peace the State is enjoying.

The CP further expresses his satisfaction with the level of synergy exhibited by the security agencies during the just concluded election. He urges them to keep it up even as the State move towards the March 11th, 2023 State Assembly election.
