“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over ONE sinner who repents…” Luke 15:10.

The above passage gives us a glimpse into the celebration which erupts in heaven when even one sinner turns from the error of his ways and returns to the Living God. It also describes the way I feel about the CEDO Birthday Outreach which happened on August 9 to celebrate my birthday.

To the Glory of God we were able to visit 46 hospitals across the 3 Senatorial Districts of Kogi State to share prayers, encouragement and small relief materials with patients. I personally led the team which visited The Specialist Hospital, Lokoja and I am blessed in my spirit at all the reports and outcomes.

I met a young boy of about twelve at The Specialist Hospital called Israel (surname withheld). Hospitalised for over a year now with a serious medical condition, his was a really sad case. He was passing waste through the wrong opening in his body and his mother was both distraught by the condition of her beloved child and overburdened by the heavy bills.

I rejoiced greatly when I met him as it became impressed in my spirit to take over his case. I am trusting God that he will now receive all the help he needs to arise and step into what I perceive is a glorious future.

Truly, like the scripture above shows, nothing matches the fulfilment one has when even a single soul in severe pains from the problems of life is positively touched by one’s efforts. Last weekend, I and my people who supported me in this outreach were able to bring smiles to the faces of scores of such people. To God be the Glory!

“In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.” Proverbs 14:28.

I am overjoyed. My people are my greatest asset. Without you I am ruined. I thank everyone of you – family, friends and well-wishers – who came out so strongly in cash or kind on August 9 for my 46th birthday.

In particular, I thank His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, a boss like no other. My beloved wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Mercy Ejura and my parents. The Aiyebolowos and the representatives of the G21 who woke me melodiously into my day.

My gratitude also goes to all the youths (certainly over 500 in number) who formed the formidable teams which visited the 46 hospitals for and with me to The outpouring of testimonies from past and present confirm that we are touching lives together and making great and Godly impact together.

AbdulSlimzy you are a great planner. Almighty God will zero in on you for greatness.
